HOURS SERVED DURING THE 2012-13 SCHOOL YEAR ACCEPTED ONLY
(From May 1, 2012 — May 1, 2013)

FLORIDA BRIGHT FUTURES PROGRAM

The Florida Academic program requires 100 hours between grades 9-12 focused on ONE plan, (not necessarily at one location.)

Example: A student wants to submit a plan with the social problem focused on working with those in need. Their personal involvement might be volunteering at Talbot House, Lighthouse Ministries, Lakeland Paint Your Heart Out, and a Mission Trip. (All address the social problem of the plan, but not served at one location)

Students need to submit the Application form and the form consisting of three paragraphs, (which identify the social problem, their personal involvement, and a final reflection of the experience) prior to starting service. These hours are automatically counted as part of the overall total and recognized at the end of each year at the Academic Awards Ceremony.
