MISSION STATEMENT
Lakeland Senior High School is a learning community dedicated to working together to create a caring environment where everyone is respected as a capable learner expected to succeed and excel.

PHILOSOPHY
The goal of the administration and faculty of Lakeland Senior High School is to prepare students to be caring, responsible, contributing citizens in this increasingly interdependent global world. Not only should students be prepared to successfully complete their short-term goals of employment or further education, but they must also be prepared to make intelligent decisions in a world of changing social values, growing technology, increasing leisure, and economic and political uncertainty.

DEPARTMENTAL INFORMATION
Lakeland Senior High School offers a wide range of courses.
The content of our vocational programs in business, technology education, agriculture, family and consumer science, and cooperative education prepares both the segment of our population that enters the working world immediately upon graduation and those students whose professional careers require advanced study.
The honors classes prepare our college-bound students to compete successfully in a competitive academic arena. The extensive Advanced Placement Program offers classes to challenge the ablest students, while an individually focused remediation program brings students' practical skills to an acceptable level.
At every level, teachers use a variety of methods to encourage development of problem-solving techniques and to equip students with a bank of knowledge and skills which will enable them to live in and contribute to our global world of constant change.
